Our Story

The Legacy

In the 1940s, my great-grandfather Al was studying at Purdue when the Great Depression forced him to leave school and find a new path. He asked himself one question: What brings all people together? The answer was soup.

Using his engineering mind, Al began crafting precise, flavorful soup formulas - blending turmeric, carrots, yeast, and real ingredients to create comforting broths that tasted like home. His recipes quickly spread to the country’s top hotels and restaurants, served exclusively to executive chefs for decades.

The business was passed down through generations, from Al to his children, and then to my dad - who protected the original formulas that inspired everything we do today.

The Innovation

When my parents first experimented with putting the family recipe into single-serve tea bags, it wasn’t just about convenience - it was about preserving a feeling.

Our broth has always been more than a recipe. It was the smell that filled the house on cold nights, the sound of everyone gathering around the table, the warmth that made you feel safe, loved, and understood. It was our family’s way of saying, you belong here.

So they took the decades-old blend our great-grandfather created and began hand-packing it into tea bags at our kitchen counter. That simple idea made something extraordinary possible:

The comfort of home, the feeling of being cared for, the warmth of broth - all packaged in a single tea bag you can take anywhere.

With Art of Broth, you’re not just drinking broth. You’re carrying a little piece of home with you.

The Future

We envision a world where people feel supported through life’s everyday challenges - where broth is recognized as a form of care, and small rituals help people return to themselves.

The Art of Broth aims to redefine broth beyond food, transforming it into a tool for emotional grounding, belonging, and connection - something people carry with them through hard moments as a reminder that they are cared for and that they belong.
